Lappert's Ice Cream Closes for Remodel at The Cal

The ongoing improvements to the California Casino & Hotel keep on coming. Next on the agenda, a remodel of Lappert's Ice Cream, located on the mezzanine level across from Aloha Specialties, which completed its own big changes last year.

Lappert’s will return in March, with an exact date to be released closer to reopening day. Working on the project is well-known local contractor Logic, who also worked on upgrading The Cal’s valet area, California Noodle House restaurant, plus the rooms and corridors in the West Tower. In the works since October, full details of the ice cream shop upgrade have yet to be revealed.

Serving coffee, specialty drinks and breakfast pastries, Lappert’s high butterfat content ice cream is the main attraction, first launched in Sausalito, California, in 1984. The only other location in Las Vegas to buy their ice cream can be found at the tsp. Baking Co. in North Las Vegas, recently opened by former Retro Bakery chef Kari Haskell.
