There's a breakfast and lunch switcheroo taking place in Spring Valley. Norm’s Eggs Cafe at the Global Plaza West retail center between Spring Mountain Road and Twain Avenue. has moved one block away to 3945 S. Durango Drive and re-branded as Norm’s Diner. In its place, Dirty Fork, another early starter, has debuted a "traditional, with a twist" menu and promising Hawaiian specials on the weekend.
The interior features stools at the coffee bar, a large pastry display case and plenty of casual seating. On the menu, breakfast choices like the $11.50 "Fatty Burrito," a tortilla wrap with organic scrambled eggs, bacon, American cheese and guacamole. "Jade's Island Pancakes" arrive with a choice of coconut, passion fruit or guava syrup and a $9.50 "Desert Goddess Bowl," is made with Greek yogurt, granola and organic fresh fruit.
Lunch includes the "Dirty Fork Burger," priced at $11.50, created with an Angus beef patty, bacon, tomato, sweet onion and a choice of "toss greens" or fries. They also offer a "Fancy Turkey Sammy," a "Happy Hippie Kale Salad," fish and chips and a $13.50 charcuterie plate is comprised of their specials of the day to create a three cheese, two meat, crackers, almond and honey production.
