Fans of lounging at Wynn Las Vegas’ Parasol Down will need to make other plans for the month of March. As previously revealed, the extremely popular cocktail lounge has closed for a remodel and will return on Tuesday, April 4.
Guests are being directed to sister concept Parasol Up, which returned in December after a seven digit makeover that brightened the color palette and brought more light into the space. The resort also added a new cocktail menu from Damian Cross, Wynn's property mixologist.
Expect a similar level of care to be brought to Parasol Down's 3,093-square-foot lounge and patio. For construction costs alone, the project has set aside an estimated $801,900. During the changes, the nightly Lake of Dreams show will still be scheduled, running "every half-hour from dusk to 12:30 a.m."
Also scheduled for the property, a million dollar upgrade for Encore’s casino floor sound system, a six figure upgrade for the pool bar at the Encore Beach Club and work begins on creating a new showroom ticket booth.
