The "world’s largest Latin chicken chain" is making a huge push into the Las Vegas market, expanding before they have even opened their first outpost.
The first location to arrive and promised to be debuting "very soon," will be inside a shuttered Long John Silver’s and A&W drive-thru building at the Revere Market Place on West Craig Road. The North Las Vegas location will feature a drive-thru and sit close to Las Pupusas Mexican Restaurant, Que Mas Mexican Cafe and the Carniceria Guadalajara Market.
Location number two, is a purpose built site in Sunrise, close the intersection of Arden Street and Charleston Boulevard.
For number three, the Pollo Campero team is headed west. Yet to be officially announced, they will take over a shuttered 2,888-square-foot Pizza Hut, adjacent to Richfield Boulevard. The highly visible spot is half a mile from the Palace Station resort and the future home of their fellow chicken-serving rivals, Chick-fil-A. The restaurant will receive a makeover and add a drive-thru window, a process that will take at least a few months.
Serving "Flavor You Can't Campero" and operating more than 300 locations, the fast casual Pollo Campero concept has a fervent fan base and serves a Guatemalan and Central American spin on fried chicken, plus "Citrus Peruvian Grilled" chicken portions. Also on the menu, chicken empanadas and bowls and sides like sweet plantains, yucca fries and "Campero Rice."
