Chef Howard Choi closed his sushi restaurant Fish N Bowl at 7225 S. Durango Drive and moved his knives to a different restaurant. The chef is now behind the sushi counter at Hiroba Sushi at 10720 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson.
Choi worked as the sushi chef at Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood at Mandalay Place before going out on his own. Hiroba is known for its nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, bento boxes and tempura dishes make the menu. Note that at Hiroba, the rolls feature less sauce so "guests can taste the true flavor of fresh fish." The must try? The Green Monster with soft shell crab, rice, avocado and eel sauce, a fan favorite.
Hiroba Sushi opened in 2015. Fish N Bowl originally debuted in 2013.
The restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
