It was only last October that Texas-based franchise Crunch Donut Factory arrived at the small retail center across from UNLV, but the restaurant has already expanded to North Las Vegas.

Crunch Donut takes over the former 1,110-square-foot home of Tiabi Coffee & Waffle, close to corner of the Aliante and Centennial Parkway, next door to a Roberto's Taco Shop. Unlike the original the round-the-clock concept, this new home is open in two shifts, morning and evenings.

Known for its large range of loaded, specialty doughnuts, Crunch also features a range of sweet selections, like the "Sheryl Kronut" filled with apple, soft serve ice cream that can be combined to make a doughnut shake, or doughnut ice cream sandwiches and a series of waffles including the "Penn & Nutella," made with whipped cream, pecans, powdered sugar and "Nutella Drizzle."

Guests can add their own frostings, icings and drizzles and toppings to create their own doughnut masterpieces, or choose from a menu of pun-happy, tried-and-tested options including the "Whippy Goldberg," the red velvet "Scarlet Doughansen," the "S'Moregan Freeman" and "Leonardo Dioreo" and the" Heaven Bacon," a "yeast based long john with maple frosting and real bacon."
