Chick-fil-A created a fast-food sensation on Henderson’s Stephanie Street back in January and it looks like another nationwide mega-chain took notice. Half a mile to the north of the chicken shack, Golden Corral will debut its second local outpost, in a corner plot at the Crossroads at Sunset retail center.

Filling approximately 11,000 square feet, it also sits less than half a mile from the Sunset Station casino and the Galleria at Sunset. The retail center is anchored by a large Toys"R"Us.

Golden Corral moved into the Las Vegas market in December 2013, creating a built-from-scratch 11,100-square-foot property on the eastside, close to the intersection of Lamb and Charleston boulevards.

Yet to publicly announce the expansion, or what to expect when it arrives, nine miles to the north the future Golden Corral offers a family-friendly, one-price, casual buffet rival to the local casinos, opening during the week at 10.30 a.m. for lunch and dinner and at 7.30 a.m on Saturday and Sunday.
