Jacksonville, Florida-based Metro Diner is wasting no time making a major splash in the Las Vegas casual dining scene, with one restaurant debuting last month, a second on the way and now the site of the third local expansion to Henderson can be revealed.

Yet to be officially announced, Metro Diner is headed to the Stephanie Promenade retail center, right on the corner of Stephanie Street and Trail Canyon Road. Sitting adjacent to an AutoZone, real estate brokers tout "40,000 cars pass by everyday," with the easy-to-spot location less than two miles south of the Sunset Station resort.

Exterior construction work includes adding a new front entrance on Stephanie and installing awnings in the family-run chain’s green hues. Current paperwork filed with the City of Henderson suggests the diner plans to keep the same hours as its Spring Valley sibling, serving from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

On the menu, expect fried chicken and waffles topped with house-made strawberry butter, Charleston shrimp and grits with sweet and spicy sauce, biscuits and gravy, chicken pot pie and the Metro pot roast. The diner achieved a jump in fame when featured on Guy Fieri’s Food Network Show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The southwest Las Vegas expansion is headed to the corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Warm Springs Road. Both restaurants are promised to be "coming soon."
