The "world’s largest Latin chicken chain" has finally arrived in Nevada, ready to take on all casual food rivals and proudly boasting more than 45 years of experience serving marinated, hand-breaded chicken, flavored with a "proprietary blend of Latin herbs and spices."
From its origins in Guatemala to more than 350 global locations, the first of three Las Vegas expansions debuts today. A "grand opening" event was attended by dignitaries including the local El Salvadoran Consulate General.
Featuring a drive-thru, Pollo Campero replaces a shuttered Long John Silver’s and A&W building at the Revere Market Place, close to Las Pupusas Mexican Restaurant, Que Mas Mexican Cafe and the Carniceria Guadalajara Market.
On the menu, chicken available by the piece, plus options like boneless chicken bites known as "Camperitos," "Peruvian verde" empanadas, plantains, "street corn salad," rice and beans and for dessert, flan and a "dulce de leche empanada."
Pollo Campero location number two is still under construction in Sunrise, close the intersection of Arden Street and Charleston Boulevard, while number three will sit half a mile from the Palace Station resort and the latest home to fellow chicken-serving, Chick-fil-A.
