Say so long to 35 Steaks + Martinis at the Hard Rock Hotel. An Eater Vegas tipster reports that the steakhouse plans to close on April 29.
The steakhouse closes ahead of the opening of MB Steak from Michael and David Morton, a name referring to the Morton brothers.
The restaurant plans to open in May, paying tribute to the Morton family tradition of steakhouses. After all, their father Arnie Morton opened Morton’s of Chicago in 1978. He sold his restaurant in the late 1980. This marks the first time the brothers have partnered on a project despite more than two dozen restaurants to their names.
That restaurant heads to the HRH Tower, next to the new Oyster Bar. MB Steak will fill 7,774 square feet, including the unusual addition of a mezzanine. An impressive estimated budget of $4.5 million has been allocated for the construction alone.
The Hard Rock opened 35 Steaks + Martinis in September 2011.
