Less than a month after filing permits to remodel its new space, "urban wine bar" The Otheroom is rapidly on the way, with their Forum Shops at Caesars landlords revealing a projected opening date.

Originally created by Craig Weiss, The Otheroom intends to import its tried and tested "place to meet" concept into the former 3,354-square-foot home of La Salsa Mexican restaurant. Mall operators Simon Property Group are advising future guests the bar "is expected to open" on May 15.

Located at the ground floor, southern end of the Forum Shops, The Otheroom footprint also comes with an outdoor patio, profitably adjacent to the resort’s replica Trevi Fountain.

Expanding on successful South Beach, Florida, Tribeca, New York and California’s Echo Park and Venice Beach locations, the Las Vegas team will be creating "a local, industrial style hang out," specializing in wine, champagne and craft beers, accented by a similar soundtrack of "eclectic beats" they play on both coasts.

While a dining menu is yet to be announced, The Otheroom seasonally changes up their beverage program and rotates the on-tap beers. Bringing some of their local expertise to the project will be hospitality company 33 Group, who are also managing partners in champagne lounge and bar Fizz Las Vegas, inside Caesars Palace.
