Yet another extension on the temporary closure for Henderson’s Monta Chaya, after the ramen house missed a promised return on April 30. According to the restaurant’s Yelp page, it is now aiming for a May 26 comeback, the third extension in the last three months. The company’s own web page still promises a Feb. 13 return.
Frustrated fans have noted the location is not answering queries left on its Facebook page and Chaya’s 702-331-5151 phone number will continually ring without letting guests leave a message.
Located at the Beltway Plaza on Eastern Avenue, the 1,343-square-foot space is a four-year old member of the Monta family of restaurants including Monta Ramen in Chinatown, Ramen Kobo in Spring Valley and the latest arrival, Marugame Monzo on Spring Mountain Road. Monjiro, a Torrance, California, concept very similar to Monzo shuttered on May 7.
Next up for the Beltway Plaza, the under construction Thai fusion of Pho King.
