Make that 11 locations for locals Putter's Bar & Grill, when the tavern chain arrives on Flamingo Road later this year. The 24-hour gaming and sports hangout will take over shuttered dive bar Zodie’s at the Flamingo Courtyard retail center, close to McLeod Drive.
The 3,420-square-foot standalone building will receive a complete makeover, including electrical, plumbing, new tiles on the ceilings and bathroom walls, new flooring and interior and exterior paint. For the overhaul, an estimated budget of $300,00 has been allocated for construction costs.
Putter’s already operates less than two miles to the south on Eastern Avenue, with all locations offering gaming promotions and progressive jackpots, plus a full, in-house American menu at three of its locations. A remodel of the Zodie's kitchen is not mentioned in current paperwork and an opening date for Putter's has yet to be announced.
Zodie’s was a laid back locals bar with a small menu, karaoke nights and a prominent sign over the door welcoming smokers. It shuttered in July 2016.
