Oodle Noodle Debuts ‘Creative Fusion Udon’

Izakaya Cocokala recently shuttered at the Flamingo Arville Plaza, but an inventive and affordable replacement is already up and running. Oodle Noodle is now serving "creative fusion udon" for lunch and dinner, a concept they also describe as "homemade Japanese udon & tapas."

Located a short distance west of the Palms resort, neighboring Umiya Sushi & Sake Bar and the former Loose Caboose tavern, soon to become the Bourbon Street sports bar, Oodle Noodle prepares its udon noodles fresh inside the restaurant each day.

On the menu, choices like spicy pork tsukemen, kimchi hot pot udon and white curry udon all priced at $10.80. Cold options include the raw, ikura oroshi udon for $7.70 and tempura zaru udon for $10.80. Other cold creations include beef tataki, tako wasabi and tofu with Japanese uni dashi jelly.

Hot dishes include ebi-shinjou, shrimp dumplings fried in corn flakes and served with honey mustard for $6.80, wine steamed clams, grilled squid, salt-grilled mackerel and chicken kara-age.

They also feature bowls, like tuna or salmon poke for $8.90 and desserts include the $5.80 baked matcha cheesecake, plus a Japanese ice cream sandwich.
