The Grand Bazaar Shops has confirmed earlier reveals that Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken and Dirt Dog are coming to the Strip-facing mall. But those aren’t the only upgrades slowly helping the retail center reassemble a large outdoor food court.
Restaurateurs Eric and Bruce Bromberg will take over 1,463 square feet of space opposite Starbucks and the outdoor patio of Giordano’s for their Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken expansion. Covering an entire end section of the promenade, close to the entrance to the Bally’s resort, promised for the menu will be the famous fried chicken and “combos, sandwiches, sides, salads and milkshakes.”
A short walk to the south, Dirt Dog is moving into Suite 617, located next door to Sin City Brewing and the former home of Jimmy’s Seaside Fries. The California concept already serves its "ultimate bacon wrapped hot dog" in the southwest at the Rainbow-Shelbourne Plaza. The move to the Strip will include its dogs, sides like "dirty corn," topped with crema, Cotija cheese, cilantro, bacon bits and chili powder, plus fried Twinkies and Oreos.
Newly announced, will be an upgrade for the existing Island Time Floats Tiki Bar, sitting close to Wahlburgers. The bar will be adding a menu of “Caribbean Island-Style Tacos” within a space upgrade and feature items like “blackened shrimp taco with piña colada aioli sauce,” a “Caribbean jerk taco” and breakfast items.
A new outlet of Ben & Jerry’s will be offering the brand’s famous selections of “premium ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet and non-dairy flavors” and is promising more than 20 flavor choices.
And franchiser John Gerds is introducing Philly Pretzel Factory to the region, serving "pretzels, specialty items, dips and drinks." Gerds has signed a three location local deal, with the next two locales yet to be confirmed. For the Grand Bazaar Shops he is working on obtaining permits to serve beer and liquor to his thirsty patrons.
Projected opening dates for the new arrivals have yet to be announced, but Dirt Dog is now hiring.
