It has been a long wait for fans of the Corner Bakery Cafe, but the nationwide franchise has now set an official “grand opening” date for its first Nevada expansion.
Located at the Galleria Commons, close to Sunset Station, the cafe will open its doors and drive-thru following a ribbon cutting celebration between 10:30 and 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27.
Currently hiring, progress on the Stephenie Street site, close to the intersection of Warm Springs and Sunset Road, appeared well advanced, leading to a suspicion of a soft-opening before the official debut date.
Seen as a rival to Kneaders Bakery & Cafe serving eight miles to southwest, when the project was first announced last year local franchiser Silver State Restaurants Inc. planned to price cap each item on the menu at $8.99 and serve from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
On the upcoming menu, “artisan breads and freshly baked sweets,” sandwiches, soups, salads and “made-to-order scramblers.”
