Main Street’s Makers & Finders Urban Coffee Bar abandoned its ambition to expand from downtown Las Vegas to downtown Henderson back in January, but if they’d stuck with the plan they might have been the ones hosting a grand opening within the next four weeks. Located inside the Southend on Water development on Water Street, Public Works Coffee Bar, its java-serving replacement, is now almost ready for a June debut.
Sharing the building with Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects, Public Works is expected to receive its beer, wine and spirits license on June 6, necessary for a future schedule of “evening lecture events and wine tastings.”
The ground floor space will serve up espressos, coffee, tea and blended drinks featuring beans locally sourced from Mothership Coffee Roasters. Pastries, breakfast items and lunchtime food will also be created by Henderson vendors.
Inside the building’s new “community room,” gallery shows will be curated by local artists and an outdoor patio will feature stylish seating by Spanish designers Vondom.
Makers & Finders has committed to expanding to Summerlin for its second location, but has yet to reveal an exact venue.
