Three poker professionals used to placing a big bet are the new owners of Roma Deli & Restaurant in Chinatown. Max Pescatori, Fabio Coppola and Todd Brunson have taken over the casual spot at the Siena Plaza retail center on Spring Mountain Road, close to Jones Boulevard.

Brunson is the best known player of the trio and is also the son of the legendary "Texas Dolly," aka "The Godfather of Poker," Doyle Brunson. Via social media Todd Brunson has been alerting fans that the team bought the adjoining suite to further expand the space and intends to add a new bar. The name and current Italian-American theme will be kept intact.

Located three miles west of the Rio resort’s World Series of Poker headquarters, the new owners hope the annual competition will create a loyal customer base.

Open from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. daily and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, the deli has a following for its baked bread, Sicilian daily specials and a range of Italian grocery items, meats, cheeses, pastas and coffee.

The Roma deli name debuted in Las Vegas in 1999 and its second location, featuring a retail wine shop, still operates five miles to the west at 8524 W. Sahara Ave.
