You can find digital gaming anywhere in the city, but new arrival Tables Board Game Spot specializes in analog entertainments, offering customers over 1,000 games to pull off the shelves and play, plus the opportunity to drink some local brews in the near future.
Located in the Scottsdale plaza retail center, at the intersection of Maryland Parkway and Pebble Road, it joins close neighbors Laurita's Taco Shop and Sin City Sushi. The 2,312-square-foot space features plenty of tables for guests to occupy on a $5 day pass, or a monthly membership for $25.

Creators Albert Smedley and April Pena have been previewing the experience in locations like Bad Owl Coffee and Bad Beat Brewing and raised funding via a successful Kickstarter campaign. On the gaming menu, everything from Monopoly to the latest tabletop releases, some of which can also be bought in its retail section.
On the current dining menu, locally created snacks and a range of craft sodas. The Game Spot applied earlier this month for permission to operate a full-service bar, to be stocked by local brewers and also serve wine. The application also notes “the business plans on expanding their menu in the future.”
