Already the Golden Knights, Las Vegas’ NHL team, plans to open its practice facility across from Red Rock Resort and Downtown Summerlin in mid-August. Now comes the speculation about which restaurant will go into the 6,591-square-foot space set aside with views of the two hockey rinks.
MacKenzie River Pizza Co. and Craggy Range are both options, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Knights majority owner Bill Foley also owns both restaurants. Craggy Range Bar & Grill, based in Whitefish, Montana, features of menu of fry bread tacos, steelhead trout sandwiches, beef tenderloin meatloaf and burgers, while MacKenize River spans from Montana to Kentucky with gourmet pizzas.
The RJ lays odds on MacKenzie River winning out since it has “better name recognition.”
Whichever restaurant wins will sit on the second level of the 146,000-square-foot practice facility, the largest sized amenity for any team in the National Hockey League.
