Almost a year to the day since they first announced a lease was signed, owners Ralph and Annamarie Pota have finally debuted Anna Marie's Italian Cuisine in Spring Valley. The Pota family have been co-owners of the westside’s Bambino’s East Coast Pizzeria since 2010.
Located at the Siena Town Center, close to the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Hualapai Way, the 2,400-square-foot Anna Marie's Italian aims to be a neighborhood destination serving “lunch, dinner, drinks and coffee.” On the menu, “casual Italian cuisine from traditional Neapolitan recipes” featuring “wood-fired pizzas, classic Italian entrees and a full bar. “
Set to include a daily happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m and 9 to 11 p.m., choices include starters like the $12 fried calamari, the $5 arancini riceball, $7 fried smoked mozzarella and $12 mussels.
Sandwiches include a meatball parmigiana and the $8 peppers and egg, which can accompany the escarole and beans or pasta e fagioli soups.
"Specialty" items of calzones or stromboli join a full range of pastas and pizzas, available in Sicilian, Neapolitan and deep dish styles. Seafood, chicken and veal dishes round out the large menu, plus familiar desserts like a $4 grande cannoli and $6 tiramisu.
