The food truck Best Mobile Catering Service was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on Friday, June 23. Inspectors found a lack of adequate refrigeration.
Since 2015, the food truck earned a B, passing and A grade from the health department.
Kenya’s Catering, the food truck, was shut down by the health department after a routine inspection on Friday, June 23, found an imminent health hazard. The lack of refrigeration called for the immediate closure.
Three other inspections going back to 2014 resulted in A grades.
The health district conducts unannounced inspections at least once a year. Inspections are posted online about five days after the inspection. The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
