The owners of Donut Bar are creating even more of a presence at downtown’s John E. Carson Hotel commercial development. Taking over the shuttered Grass Roots Juice Bar, next door to Bocho Sushi, Smooth Eats is now serving a sweet and savory menu, suitable for healthy minded customers and those who wish to indulge a little.

Already promising Dole Whip in the future and encouraging visitors to suggest new menu items, choices include smoothies, cold press juices, toast and panini, and gelato. For customers looking for an even larger sugar rush, owners Jeff and Joe Thomas are still serving up their oversized donuts around the corner on Carson Avenue.
