Word of an expansion for Sheridan Su and Jenny Wong’s Flock & Fowl has been circulating for weeks, but new paperwork finally pinpoints where they will be headed downtown.
The couple created Flock and More LLC back in April, ahead of the move to a new home inside a 2,546-square-foot space on the ground floor of The Ogden high-rise condominium building. It will take over the shuttered Itsy Bitsy Ramen & Whisky, which closed in January after almost two years of turbulent business.
Flock & Fowl on Sahara, close to the Golden Steer Steakhouse and the Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino, is only open from 10.30 a.m to 3.30 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, to allow the pair to also oversee their original hit concept, Fat Choy, inside the Eureka Casino.
A fixture on the Eater 38 essential local restaurants guide since almost six months after it open, Flock & Fowl features menu items such as the specialty of the house, Hainanese chicken rice, plus favorites including caramel chicken wings and the “night market fried chicken bao.”
The husband and wife team told Food & Wine they will be open seven days a week and serve lunch and dinner. With the much larger space, there will also be a larger menu, an existing open kitchen and an eight-seat bar set-up. The original Flock & Fowl will remain in operation following the expansion, which is expected to be completed this fall.
