Sad news for fans of Scott Conant. His restaurant D.O.C.G. Enoteca at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas shuts down on June 20. That means no more The D.O.C.G., a perfect pizza with fonduta, egg and truffles as well as a loss of the great Italian wine list and the amazing caramel budino at the restaurant. Almost one year ago to the day, D.O.C.G. stopped lunch service. The restaurant originally opened with the resort in 2010. Conant still has Scarpetta at the resort.
Cosmopolitan has been on a restaurant revamp spree lately. Last year, Beauty & Essex from Chopped star Chris Santos debuted in the former Comme Ça space. Eggslut joined the mix last July, followed by Milk Bar from Christina Tosi and Momofuku from David Change opening last December and January, respectively. Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill shut down to make way for sushi darling Zuma. On Thursday, Blue Ribbon from Bruce and Eric Bromberg opens on Thursday.
