Dragon Grille, a food truck that specializes in modern Asian fusion fare, was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on Saturday, July 8.

Inspectors found an imminent health hazard, a lack of adequate refrigeration, and ordered the food truck to shut down immediately.

Other demerits included spoiled food, inadequate pest control measures, food held at the wrong temperature and inadequate hot and cold holding equipment.

Since 2014, the food truck typically earned A grades from the health department during four previous inspections.

Last month, the health department shut down two other food trucks for the same problem.

The health district conducts unannounced inspections at least once a year. Inspections are posted online about five days after the inspection. The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
