The site of the second local outpost for nationwide buffet chain Golden Corral was first revealed back in April, but since then, there has been little to update. That will soon change following an upcoming design review of the 11,000-square-foot restaurant by the City of Henderson.

Taking over the corner building at the Crossroads at Sunset retail center, Golden Corral will be easy to spot at the intersection of Stephanie Street and Sunset Road, following a repaint of the existing facade with the brand’s trademark “red bay” and “brittlebush” color scheme.

Located half a mile to the north of Chick-fil-A, the buffet also sits less than half a mile from the Sunset Station casino and the Galleria at Sunset. Sunset Station is already host to the Feast Buffet, featuring international dishes, seafood and a large salad bar, open daily from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., and 10 p.m. on weekends.

Golden Corral first arrived in Las Vegas in December 2013, preferring to create a built-from-scratch, 11,100-square-foot property close to the intersection of Lamb and Charleston boulevards. Offering a family-friendly, one-price, casual buffet, the eastside location is open at 10.30 a.m. for lunch and dinner and at 7.30 a.m on Saturday and Sunday. No details of opening hours, or a timetable for completion in Henderson have been announced.
