“Comfort food with flair” has arrived in the southwest with the second of three expansions for Metro Diner, the Jacksonville, Florida chain and former star of Guy Fieri’s Food Network Show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Located at the Rainbow Warm Springs Retail Plaza, inside a 3,451-square-foot corner space at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Warm Springs Road, the new restaurant opens only four months after its first Las Vegas location in Spring Valley.
On the hearty menu, "griddle greats" like the $9.49 “Pound Cake French Toast” and the $7.99, 12-inch, “Metro pancake,” a selection of Benedicts, lunch specials including chicken pot pie, and the $17.49 Charleston shrimp and grits, plus sandwiches, like a $10.99 Reuben or $12.99 Monte Cristo.
Its most famous dish is the $12.99 "Yo Hala on the Square," created with "two thick slices of challah bread stuffed with a mixture of bananas, brown sugar, cream cheese and hazelnut syrup, prepared like French toast. Topped with a blueberry strawberry compote!"
Next for the brand, a third home in Henderson at the Stephanie Promenade retail center, on the corner of Stephanie Street and Trail Canyon Road, officially aiming for a fall debut.
