Now visitors to Excalibur can do more than wear silly hats on their heads at Dick’s Last Resort, eat with their hands at Tournament of Kings or dance on tabletops with male strippers at Thunder from Down Under. The castle-shaped resort just renovated the Lounge at Excalibur with a full roster of live music and karaoke on the main stage, bar games, banquette seating, two media walls brimming with eight flat-screen TVs and a new cocktail menu. Bonus: it’s open 24 hours a day.

The biggest updates come with the decor, now outfitted with brown leather booths, wood tables with iron accents, media walls with a stone background and iron touches on the bar. Rivets and iron are found on the column at the entrance to the lounge.

Customers can challenge each other to shuffleboard and foosball. By night, local bands and deejays and karaoke create a party atmosphere.

On the menu, nods to the castle setting of the resort. Merlin’s Sweet Tea is made with Deep Eddy sweet tea vodka, fresh lime juice, Torani brown sugar and cinnamon syrup and club soda, while the Sword and Stone combines Excalibur’s “exclusively selected Jack Daniel’s single barrel whiskey,” St. Germain elderflower liqueur and fresh strawberry lemonade.
