Another build-your-own pizza concept is on the way, but this time, one already familiar with the Nevada market.

My Pie Pizza is bringing some New York-style to Centennial Center at the intersection of Tropical Parkway and Centennial Center Boulevard, taking over the shuttered Giani’s New York Pizza & Pasta. It will sit one-10th of a mile from Novecento Pizzeria.

My Pie specializes in an East Coast crust, ready in two minutes inside an 800-degree oven. Created by the operators of Arizona’s Crust pizza chain and makers of Kurt Warner Marinara Sauce found in grocery stores nationwide, My Pie already serves in Nebraska and Arizona, with Utah on the horizon. A Reno outpost debuted late last year.

On the menu, larger than many similar ventures, customers choose their initial pizza, like a “New York” with parmesan and mozzarella, or the “Mr. White” with garlic and “four cheese.” Toppings include Daiya vegan cheese, meatballs, pepperoncinis and pears. The chain also features calzones, "pieninis" like the chicken pesto, salads, garlic knots, Caprese with pizza chips and “Mamma's Meatballs.” The Reno location also offers wine and draft beer.

An estimated arrival date has yet to be announced.
