The Ninth Island is about to welcome its latest Hawaiian-infused import, this time to Henderson, with Royal Aloha Pizza Kitchen planning to open very soon inside the former home of Avanti Pizza.
“Serving aloha everyday,” most of the dishes on the large menu are named in tribute to the history of the 50th state, created with some unique ingredient combinations and a sense of humor.
Located close to the intersection of Pecos Road and Wigwam Parkway, the owners plan to be open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
On the menu, the “Princess Lili'uokalani Pizza,” a version of “history's very first pizza produced by Italy's Royal chefs at the commission of Queen Marguerita, way back in 1896,” the “North Shore Pipeline Pizza” topped with clams, shrimp and scallops and the “Hawaii Meets India Tandoori Pizza,” featuring “chicken breast marinated in Indian spices.”
Appetizers include “Hanauma Bay Calamari,” “Da Kine” grilled chicken breast sliders with grilled pineapple on King’s Hawaiian bread rolls and “King David K's Beer Battered Mushrooms.”
The menu also features salads, fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, burgers, pasta dishes and the “Elvis Blue Hawaii Sandwich,” built with “peanut butter, bacon, banana and honey on white toast”.
For dessert, they offer a “Hawaiian Cannoli” made with “ricotta cheese, fresh pineapple shavings and grated coconut” and a “Snicker Bar Cake.”
