The very casual, but very popular home of fingers, wings and fries has expanded again and it’s now open in Spring Valley. The Chicken Shack debuted in Las Vegas in 2010 at the Sunset Mountain Vista Plaza before taking over the former Buddha Belly Deli last year.

Expanding from Henderson, the franchise has taken over the shuttered 1,200-square-Presto Cafe at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue, a short walk from another recent arrival, 595 Craft & Kitchen.

Inside, a wall space has been decorated with variations on the eternal question of “why did the the chicken cross the road?” and is serving the now familiar menu with prices a little higher than found in the east.

On the menu, wings, chicken fingers, burgers, “homemade chili,” a Shack salad, barbecue baked beans, macaroni salad and veggie sticks, plus a variety of sauces that include "fry sauce," creamy garlic Parmesan, “Jamaican Jerk” and options that range from mild to the honestly described, "damn hot."
