Behold, The First Cat Cafe Pop Up in Las Vegas

The race to open Las Vegas’ very first cat cafe heats up when Meow or Never Cafe & Rescue teams up with the Poppy Foundation for the city’s first pop-up cat cafe. Meow or Never hopes to raise funds to open a coffee shop with older cats, especially black, with an event featuring pastries, “meowmosas” and coffee.

The event on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. takes place at Bonanza Cat Hospital at 6620 Sky Pointe Drive. Attendees can pick up tickets here with a $25 suggested donation, although more can be paid to help the cafe become a reality.

Purrlieu also has hopes of opening a cat cafe. So far, that effort earned more than $3,300 toward a $20,000 Kickstarter goal that ends on Sept. 1. If successful, owner Mackenzie Smith plans to open her cat cafe near UNLV.
