Designed with a unique layout that looks onto the two ice rinks below, Montana’s MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill and Pub is creating its own reason to head to the Golden Knights hockey team’s practice facility when it debuts next month. And restaurant and team owner Bill Foley has already let slip he is planning to expand beyond its initial Summerlin home at the City National Arena.
Hoping to be ready “on or around September 8,” MacKenzie River Pizza will float above the NHL team’s ice, allowing guests the option to sit at the large bar, or dine in the restaurant and order from a large American-cuisine menu that runs to more than 70 dishes.
Located a short distance from the Red Rock Resort and Downtown Summerlin, repeat customers will be able to join the “River Rewards” loyalty program to earn dining and drink bonuses.
MacKenzie River Pizza will become the “team’s caterer” according to Montana’s Flathead Beacon newspaper and Foley “predicted” a “few stand-alone restaurants would also pop up in Vegas.”
While future locations have yet to be revealed, Foley’s Glacier Restaurant Group, widely cited as Montana's preeminent dining force, could equally import his other active concepts, Craggy Range Bar & Grill, the Italian menu of Ciao Mambo, Mediterranean bistro Latitude 48 and the casual America fare of Max & Erma’s.
