Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar is relatively new to the franchise game, but is already looking to Las Vegas as a major expansion hub. Created in downtown Springfield, Missouri, 11 years ago and now grown to eight locations, the casual American concept with a sports bar heart features more than 100 whiskeys and 20 beers on tap.

Henderson’s Calant Capital LLC has signed on to create two initial restaurants with the first hoped to be ready in “early 2018” and located “probably near the intersection of I-15 and I-215.“ The other site is planned for “western Henderson,” with the company already confident it will expand to more Clark County locations in the future.

Big Whiskey’s prides itself on its large portions and a mission to attract a wide cross section of customers, including “families with kids, groups of friends who come to watch a game, a business lunch or a couple out for the evening.”

On the future menu, appetizers like pretzel bites and “white queso dip,” plus buffalo wings, salads, wraps, soups, and heartier choices like New York strip steak, Bourbon glazed salmon and “Caribbean jerk chops.”
