Yonaka Modern Japanese’s quick and easy spin-off Purple Potato is one of this year’s most anticipated arrivals and is almost set to debut in Henderson, right next door to another intriguing concept.
Purple Potato by Yonaka has revealed via its Instagram account it will be up and running in September at the Eastern Marketplace, not far from the intersection of St. Rose Parkway and Eastern Avenue. The 1,353-square-foot, delivery, pickup and dine-in casual spot follows a very successful six-month test run at the original Yonaka location.
On the soon to be expanded menu, “Craft Your Own" and “Chef Crafted Bowls” featuring ingredients like "mapled tofu," raw ahi tuna, raw Scottish salmon, Angus Beef, house cured bacon and raw Japanese yellowtail. Yonaka’s famous crispy Brussels sprouts were included on the original Purple Potato menu.
New neighbor Matcha House Tea & Sweets is also very close to opening in suite 100. A “grand opening” planned for last week, has now been rescheduled for Friday, Sept. 1. On the menu, “hand-whisk high grade matcha tea, hand crafted premium tea, boba tea, healthy organic milk series, and fresh fruit tea,” plus “snow ice, crepe cake, ice cream, parfait, honey bread and more.”
