Those in the mood for an “Old Fashioned” burger and frozen custard on Fremont East this month will be in for a surprise. Flippin' Good Burgers and Shakes is now closed for the entire month of August for a “remodeling.”
Located next door to The Smashed Pig and two doors west of the newly debuted Corduroy bar, Flippin' Good’s Yelp page reports it will return on Sept. 1, while its social media and official website are less specific, telling fans “we will see you in September.”
Yet to announce the extent of the remodel, the casual concept is only revealing that it is “making some exciting additions that we know you will love.” Submitted permits indicate the work will include electrical, plumbing and architectural upgrades.
Flippin' Good Burgers debuted in August 2015, filling 3,000 square feet inside the former home of Uncle Joe’s Pizza with a counter-service menu that also includes chicken strips and sandwiches, vegetarian burgers, shakes, floats and concretes.
