Tens of thousands of ticket holders head to downtown’s Life is Beautiful festival this weekend, giving them the chance to be among the very first to dive into a sack of White Castle sliders.
The East Coast legend debuts its second Nevada expansion on Friday, Sept. 22, and while local rumors differ and await official confirmation, the best bet for the “Craver Nation” fan base is to expect a late-afternoon arrival.
Once open, the fast-casual spot on the corner Fremont and Fourth Street will be serving 24 hours a day and operated by the same team behind the franchise’s first Las Vegas outpost, at the Best Western Plus Casino Royale on the Strip.
That 2015 debut created a local fast food sensation, with waits between one and three hours for customers to reach the counter. This new site is not expected to break those attendance records, but has exceptional long-term prospects, at a very advantageous spot on the eastern end of the Fremont Street Experience.
In addition to the famed burgers, customers can order chicken rings, “onion chips,” “fudge dipped cheesecake on a stick” and beer available in 12-ounce souvenir cups.
Also yet to be announced, if diners will be able to order online to pick up at the restaurant and if White Castle will adding a downtown delivery service.
