It has been a big month for Sambalatte Torrefazione, the elevated coffee shop that celebrated its seven-year anniversary this week. Currently operating three locations, the fourth site now has an opening date downtown at the Molasky Corporate Center.
Located on the corner of City Parkway and Ogden Avenue, “if all goes well,” Sambalatte will begin pouring on Monday, Oct. 2, at 7 a.m.
Taking over and expanding on the shuttered Cafelatte on the office building's ground floor, unlike neighbor Jason’s Deli, Sambalatte will create a patio indoors, next to an already installed “green wall.”
The counter-service interior also added its own tables and chairs, and the space has been designed with reclaimed wood and brick on the walls and floor.
The local chain expanded to Spring Valley in January 2014 and onto the Strip at the Monte Carlo three months later. While updating the progress downtown, the company has been teasing the announcement of two more coffee shops in the works and the dedicated “Sambalatte Roastery,” planned to open this fall and the key to a wider distribution of its product line.
