Combine “urban street style decor” with a “contemporary Japanese style Izakaya setting” and you have the potential for the next causal dining hit in the southwest.
Paid In Full has debuted close to intersection of Durango Drive and Warm Springs Road, with imaginative artwork and a creative, compact menu designed to share.
Taking over former home of chef Howard Choi’s sushi restaurant Fish N Bowl at a corner of the Durango Point Retail Center, the restaurant includes tributes to rap heroes Run DMC on its walls, a shout-out to Eric B. & Rakim for providing its name and the house “drank” is a beverage known as the “Wu-tang punch.”
On the menu, which will be frequently updated, $5 “crispy tapioaca,” “udon fries” served “animal style,” $9 karaage, $10 “sweetbread katsu,” and $9 crab croquettes.
Larger plate choices include $15 clams, $17 squid "puttanesca" udon, $20 "pork ragu" and a $12 "crispy fish sando.”
Takoyaki options are highlighted by the $10 traditional octopus, $9 escargot and $10 smoked salmon.
