Following a month of remodeling and a series of menu upgrades, the former Flippin' Good Burgers & Shakes now returns as Flippin’ Good Chicken, Burgers, Beer on Fremont East and now serves “scorchin' chicken eats, grass-fed steak burgers, shivery shakes or ice cold local brews.”
The restaurant originally opened in August 2015 inside the former home of Uncle Joe’s Pizza, neighboring The Smashed Pig, The Griffin and the newly debuted Corduroy bar. The interior underwent an urban-style refresh from its original, sterile, fast-casual design, installing exposed brick, wood accents and weathered metal beams.
Upgrades to the chicken side of the menu include the $7.75 “Nashville,” made with a "Cluckin'“ hot sauce that can be graded from the mild "Country" to the “high heat” of the “Vegas,” up to the "Flippin" heat option that requires you to "proceed with caution."
Flippin’ Good also added the "Dirty Bird,” featuring a crispy chicken breast topped with sauce, smoked bacon and fried egg and a $9 vegan chicken choice with its own sauce, lettuce and pickles.
Joining the chicken tenders is a $6 boneless crispy popcorn chicken dish, which arrives with a choice of sauces like "Tennessee BBQ" and “Carolina Gold BBQ."
The “Flipping Good,” “Farm,” “Bacon” and “Old Fashioned” burgers all return, but the restaurant jettisoned the turkey and vegetarian substitutes.
New sides include the $5.50 bacon queso fries, and the $5.50 “Fire Hot Fries” with hot sauce, aged cheddar, queso and grilled jalapenos.
Flippin’ fans are already mourning the loss of the huckleberry milkshake, but the “Brownie Delight,” “Banana Monkey,” “Mom's Apple Pie” and “Macadamia Crunch” concretes return, priced at $4.75.
The generous opening hours have been kept intact, serving from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily and until 3 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
