Four years after first announcing its intention to create “an ice cream utopia” on the Strip, South Florida’s Sloan's Ice Cream finally confirms that a first outpost in Las Vegas is coming soon.
Known for its elaborate interior and exterior designs and an indulgent menu that would impress a Willy Wonka, Sloan’s takes over 1,545 square feet at the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes. Construction work starts this month, working toward an expected fall debut.
Already promising to be an “over-the-top” experience, the company currently operates six locations in Palm Beach County, Florida, three in California and one expansion in Kuwait. Earlier properties have included “pink walls, twinkling chandeliers, moving trains and magical glass bathrooms.”
On the menu, cookies, brownies, candy, homemade fudge, candy apples, milkshakes, and smoothies.
The main attraction — over-stuffed sundaes, which arrive in fanciful containers like a treasure box, a beach sand pail with shovel, a flower pot and “Tracy’s Kitchen Sink,” self-described as the “ultimate sundae with everything including the kitchen sink — 12 scoops of ice cream and all of our toppings, gobs of whipped cream & cherries — all served in a real sink! “
