First revealed back in January and promised to be “opening soon” ever since, Nunica, Michigan’s Magnum Coffee Roastery now has a fixed opening date for its cafe and retail store and plans to celebrate.
Located at 1335 E. Sunset Road at the Majestic Runway Center, conveniently south of McCarran for travelers headed to and from the airport, the cafe will debut between noon and 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, with a ribbon cutting, a "meet and greet" with specialty drinks and a 5 p.m. "gift basket raffle."
With a promised mission to appeal to "specialty coffee adventurists" and offering a "taste of the exotic," Magnum Coffee operates as an under the radar private label, creating dozens of blends and custom packaging for stores, independent coffee shops and major-name retailers around the country.
Specializing in “Hawaiian-themed drinks,” original plans called for the Las Vegas base to offer wholesale services for local businesses, restaurants and coffee shops.
Magnum’s first cafe, connected to its huge facility in Michigan, carries the company’s full line of products. In Las Vegas, opening hours have yet to be announced, but potential employees were warned of early morning starts and Saturday service.
