The French Market Buffet shuttered at The Orleans back in May and now officially has a return later this month complete with a new name and an expensive new look after a major design overhaul.
The Medley Buffet will debut with breakfast service on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 8 a.m., before settling into future daily operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and closing at 9 p.m on Friday and Saturday.
During the construction work, The Orleans set up a temporary buffet across the corridor, but that location closes for good on Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. The 344-seat French Market Buffet, with its Bourbon Street-inspired interior, debuted on opening day of the resort in 1996.
The replacement Medley Buffet gets its name from a sibling concept at Boyd Gaming’s own Aliante Casino Hotel Spa in North Las Vegas. Parent company Boyd allocated an estimated construction budget of $4.5 million that expands its capacity.
The Orleans hasn’t released an updated menu, but at the original location, customers can sample “six cooking stations,” like the “fajita station, featuring specialty chili and a salsa bar,” or opt for “Italian classics” and “BBQ favorites.”
