Launched in August 2016, Henderson’s Burger Joint shuttered in November, but is now actively on the hunt for a new location.
Created by Jose Navarro and Damian Altamirano, whose resume included Tableau at Wynn Las Vegas, Old Homestead at Caesars Palace and Triple George at the Downtown Grand, the casual space with an upgraded menu was located at 10890 S. Eastern Ave., within the same retail center as Craft Kitchen.
Working under a motto of "the burger was king, the beer was cold and they complemented one another," the team has yet to reveal the next home, but have been keeping “all options open,” including Henderson.
While a location may not be selected, the duo teases that the next space will expand to include “homemade ice creams, shakes and strengthen our plant based menu.”
Serving buns from a local "artisanal bakery" and certified Black Angus Beef, the substantial burgers included the “Au Poivre" topped with a “brandy-three peppercorn sauce." They also cultivated a following for its "taters," including the poutine created with a "brown foie gras gravy."
Perhaps optimistically, the company’s Yelp page is announcing the next location is “scheduled to reopen on February 28.”
