Las Vegas lands a new Chinese restaurant offering fine dining, elegant surroundings, and bar for people watching. China Tang lands in the United States, bringing its first restaurant to the MGM Grand with a menu of Cantonese cuisine inspired by Sichuan, Shanghai, and Beijing regional favorites along with dim sum on the weekends.
A huge bar and lounge faces Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House along the restaurant row of The District at MGM Grand. The prime position, inside the former home of Pearl, marks the first U.S. expansion for the Hong Kong-based Lai Sun Dining company; the brand’s restaurants have earned 10 Michelin stars. In Las Vegas, Lai Sun imported executive chef Albert Au Kwok Keung to oversee China Tang. Keung is the world’s youngest Chinese chef to helm a three Michelin starred restaurant, the Cantonese-focused The Eight inside Macau’s Grand Lisboa Hotel.
So far, the restaurant hasn’t released a full menu, although for the upcoming Chinese New Year promises extended hours.
