Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis confirms her plans to open Pronto by Giada, at Caesars Palace in 2018. The follow-up to her very first restaurant, Giada at The Cromwell, takes a far more casual approach to dining, yet still combines her California take on Italian fare.

Pronto by Giada plans to open on Monday, Feb. 5, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with artisanal coffee, house-made pastries, sandwiches, antipasti, gelato, wine on tap, and more. The restaurant takes over the Payard Patisserie & Bistro space near the entrance to Mr Chow and across from Rao’s and Bacchanal Buffet.

The restaurant also plans to include retail space selling her cookbooks, desserts, and clothing.

On her blog, De Laurentiss says that she found inspiration from the all-day cafes in Italy. “…I didn’t just want to open another Giada. I wanted to do something different, something that helps spread the love for Italian culture (and food!) here in the U.S.”

Already she’s teasing dishes such as cornetti, which she describes as a “croissant-like pastry that is a staple of Italian breakfasts,” smoothies, oatmeal made with olive oil, citrus and almonds, or an antipasto breakfast sandwich, with mortadella, bacon, prosciutto cotto, mozzarella, and egg. Panini, lobster rolls, and a Waldorf panzanella salad, along with a wine bar featuring varietals from Italy and California make the agenda.

Pronto also plans to have a pastry case with her lemon ricotta cookies and cakes by the slice, as well as a gelato bar.

The design takes its inspiration from De Laurentiis’ own home with a light, airy feel. Charlotte, North Carolina-based Starr Design plans to design the fast-casual restaurant with natural elements such as wood and marble quartz, coupled with pops of color in the Italian-inspired tile.

The Food Network star opened her very first restaurant, Giada, at The Cromwell in 2014.
