Say so long to the restaurants at Lucky Dragon, the Asian resort on Sahara Avenue. The casino shut down all of its restaurants except Cha Garden effective immediately so the beleaguered resort can reorganize.
According to a statement from Lucky Dragon public relations, the resort “is beginning the process of reorganization and, in doing so, will have a reduction in staff while it temporarily closes all gaming and restaurant operations. The hotel and gift shop will remain fully operational including room service, morning tea and coffee. In addition, Cha Garden will remain open, featuring a full bar at night and an expanded food menu. While this is a difficult decision, this reorganization paves the way for Lucky Dragon to establish new partnerships that will enhance the property’s long-term positioning and provide a better guest experience.”
Lucky Dragon anticipates that staff laid off can “rejoin the Lucky Dragon team when gaming and additional restaurant operations resume within six months.”
The quick closures mean no more Dragon’s Alley, the night market at the resort, Pearl Ocean with its dim sum menu for lunch and dinner, Phoenix with a focus on modern Chinese fare, and Bao Now with its casual dishes.
Lucky Dragon opened in December 2016.
