The Las Vegas Convention Center opens the year with CES in town and a bevy of new eats at the destination’s two new dining areas. Centerplate, the company that handles the food and catering at the Las Vegas Convention Center, renovated the spaces over the past year with a little help from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Ace’s and Lucky’s eating areas are brand new to the convention center with sleek point-of-sale terminals, more seating and table space, new furniture, digital signs and more.
Locals will appreciate the new partnerships with Elizabeth Blau of Honey Salt and Andiron Steak & Sea fame, Bachi Burger, Lindo Michoacan, and other local restaurants. New executive chef Stephan Blaser helped with the menus that include dishes such as a three taco combo that comes with rice, beans and salsa; the Biloxi chicken sandwich with buttermilk fried free-range organic chicken, with creamy slaw, house Durkee’s dressing, and served on a brioche roll with kettle chips; California rolls; a Caprese focaccia; a chicken bowl with char siu chicken, brown rice, Asian slaw, and ponzu vinaigrette; a garden patch pizza topped with forest mushrooms, caramelized onions, sweet peppers, Kalamata olives, oven dried tomatoes, artichokes, baby spinach, and a house blend of cheese; mac and cheese cupcakes with Tuscan kale and Anaheim peppers; a meat locker pizza topped with pepperoni, smoked pork shoulder bacon, Italian sausage, smoked ham, and a house blend of cheese; meatballs on a stick with a string cheese fondue; the Miyagi burger with chili mayo, fried egg, crispy bacon, and onion rings; and a veggie Thai red curry bowl with roasted tofu, eggplant, sweet potato, chickpeas, basmati rice, Asian slaw, and chili vinaigrette.
