Leticia’s, the Mexican restaurant at Tivoli Village, abruptly closed over the weekend, and already the shopping center has a sign up announcing a new restaurant opening this winter. Leticia’s, which also has a location in Centennial, opened last October with lunch, dinner, and brunch with dishes from chef Leticia Mitchell, who immigrated to Las Vegas from Mexico City in 1964. Her menu spanned dishes from Mexico City, Puebla, Guadalajara, and the Mayan peninsula. That restaurant replaced Cantina Laredo after it departed the shopping center in 2017.
Earlier this summer, Leticia’s Cocina announced plans to open a location at Fiesta Henderson this fall.
Cafe Mayakovsky, the Russian restaurant that moved to Liberace Plaza on the eastside in 2016, closed. The restaurant served borscht, beef Stroganoff, schnitzel, gulash, and caviar.
Also closed, another Metro Diner, this time at 2050 E. Serene Ave. That leaves locations at 7305 S. Rainbow Blvd. and 240 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson.
